Boys Generation

Jurgen Klinsmann has become the latest superstar manager to be sacked; paying the price for South Korea's disastrous 0-2 defeat by Jordan in the semi-finals; a team ranked over 60 places below them and a 'sure-bet' to advance to the final.

It brought to an end a big disappointment for the Koreans; who had aspirations to win their first Asian Cup after 64 long years; almost unbelievable for a country of South Korea standards. Furthermore; this can be said the golden generation of South Korea; with world-best players such as Tottenham Hotspur's Son Heung-Min; Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) starlet Lee Kang-In and Kim Min-Jae; the standout Napoli central defender.

It all became a bit messy as Klinsmann's leadership skills were called into question; with problems of his man-management skills and staying too far coming to the fore. It seemed things came to a head over a 'generation gap' issue when veteran Son wanted the team to bond together after dinner; and youngster Lee wanted the younger group to go play table-tennis or something. Sounds a bit bizarre; but very possible as well.
