And I must say her concert has lived up to all expectations. The expectations couldn't be higher; and she has delivered totally; so all credit to her. I thought getting Sabrina Carpenter to do the opening was quite good; she is quite a big star in her own right & did a good job of rousing the crowd.
I thought Taylor Swift chose the right song 'Cruel Summer' to kind of start it off; it is one of her big hits and really got the crowd revving from the start. As expected; there were several highs in her show; notably the 'one-two' punch of 'Love Story' & 'You Belong With Me' that expectedly sent the crowd into a frenzy; and also when 'Enchanted' came on to rouse everyone up again.
The thing about Swift is her immense catalogue of songs; and she featured many of them such as the ultimate party-raiser 'Shake It Off'; the hat-giving '22'; popular 'Blank Space' & 'Style'. However; it still remains a mystery why she sings only two songs from what I consider her best album Speak Now; with only 'Enchanted' & 'Long Live'. That means she left out many of her biggest hits such as 'Back To December'; 'You're Not Sorry'; 'Haunted' and 'Innocent'.
Borrowing from the Coldplay playbook; she did utilize the LED wristbands well; and her constant engagement with the audience meant that you really felt part of the overall concert experience. She did delve into quite many songs from her Midnights & Folklore albums; so looks like I got to brush up on those as well :-)
