Once In A Blue Moon

In the end; it wasn't that close. Manchester City did it once again; overcame all the nerves and triumphed for the 4th straight title. No one has ever done this; thus making them quite simply; the greatest team ever. I could see the nerves in their pre-game warm-up; and was a bit worried about them; but once the game started; you could see all the butterflies disappearing in their stomach.

Phil Foden; perhaps the best player in the world right now; got them off to the best possible start with a typically searing finish inside 2 minutes; and he extended their lead with another composed finish midway through the first half; sweeping in a Jeremy Doku cross. Just when things seemed rather certain; Mohammed Kudus pulled one back for West Ham United with a stunning overhead kick after some chaos from a corner.

That was the time when things got a bit nervy; especially when Arsenal had pulled one back against Everton. Just when they needed it most though; up stepped Rodrigo; the best defensive midfielder in the world; to steer home the finish that brought City the title; reminiscent of his epic finish at the UEFA Champions League final last season.

The City fans understandably got rather excited as the clock ticked down; pouring onto the pitch even before the match ended. They thought it was over... it is now.
