The Josko In The Pack

Manchester City took a big step towards immortality with a domineering 4-0 victory over Fulham at Craven Cottage. Save for a decent start by Fulham; City were always in control and Fulham did not even record a shot on target until the early stages of the second half; when Rodrigo Muniz tried a back-flick that was veering off target anyway before Ederson's intervention.

In fact the only drama of the game came late on when the world waited if goal-machine Josko Gvardiol;  already the scorer of two goals; would claim his hat-trick with a 97th minutes penalty; after Issa Diop was sent off for a late tackle on substitute Julian Alvarez. Good sense prevailed in the end though; as Alvarez himself tucked away the penalty to ensure City clawed back the goal difference on Arsenal to 2.

Noel Gallagher was watching from the stands together with the City faithful; and based on this result; it looks like City will not be Looking Back on this season In Anger.
