Line Walker

I was pretty surprised to hear of Kyle Walker's move from Manchester City to A.C. Milan; not just because he seemed such an omnipresent figure at City; someone they would never sell; but also because it seemed to represent a changing of the guard at the Premier League champions.

I remember when Walker first burst onto the scene; back in the early days at Tottenham Hotspur; when him & Danny Rose were two of the best full-backs in the world. While Rose has since slipped into oblivion; Walker grew from strength to strength; sealing a mammoth 50 million pound move to Manchester City; where he would be a key figure of the side that would go on to conquer the world.

Regarded as the fastest player in the game (yes faster than Kylian Mbappe); his powers of recovery are near-legendary; with several death-defying clearances off the line his name of the game. Overall; I have always considered him one of the best right-backs in the world; although he seems to have his critics here & there.

City to their credit; have always managed to evolve. And with new defenders Vitor Reis & Abdukodir Khusanov; and attacker Omar Marmoush onboard; it remains to be seen if City can continue on their current world domination; current plight notwithstanding.
