Harden To Believe

One of the big trades coming out of the NBA recently is the high-stakes gamble between the Cleveland Cavaliers and the Los Angeles Clippers; with the Cavaliers acquiring superstar guard James Harden in exchange for young All-Star Darius Garland.

After the smoke had settled; I can see that both teams have benefited from this one. For the Cavaliers; it is a move for the now; with Harden instantly pairing up with another superstar guard in Donovan Mitchell; that instantly puts the Cavaliers into title contention. For the Clippers; it is one for the future; with 26 year-old Garland; at 10 years younger than Harden; setting them up nicely for things to come.

It is of course a bit sad to see Harden departing the Clippers; he is someone you always love to watch; and his excellent form this season has propelled the Clippers back into Playoff contention after a disastrous 6-21 start. However; perhaps the rumors of him not getting along with Kawhi Leonard are true; and with Garland representing a new wave of optimism; the Clippers surely had to bite at this one.
