The Trump Card

With Donald Trump watching the game; the New York Knicks could not deal with the pressure & surprisingly lost to the San Antonio Spurs in a thriller at Madison Square Garden; meaning the series is now back on a knife-edge at 2-1 to the Knicks.

It was not just Trump; a whole host of celebrities were there such as Timothee Chalamet;; Spike Lee; Jay-Z; Derek Jeter and Tracy Morgan. It was perhaps all too overwhelming for the Knicks; who looked nervous in decisive moments and ultimately cost them the game.

On the other side; San Antonio played like their lives depended on it; and it showed. With a grit & determination facading a must-win game; they stayed cool under pressure and were simply more decisive in the pivotal moments.

The Spurs are a handful for anyone these days. With a young & athletic line-up such as De'Aaron Fox; Stephon Castle; Devin Vassell & rookie Dylan Harper; they are a tough match for anybody; and it was this exact line-up that they relied on to see them through the final crucial moments. Perhaps fittingly; it was Castle & then Fox who came up with the big shots to take the game beyond the Knicks' reach.
