I went for my first run of the year this evening, the usual 4km stretch from my place to town. One of the resolutions for the new year is to go for my thrice-a-week run, on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. This evening, my run was made a bit more 'exciting' by a brewing thunderstorm that threatened to spew lightning and rain down from the heavens. Fortunately, my prediction was right and it didn't rain much at all in the end. I then had a nice open-top cabriolet drive later on in the night, which in the cooling night sky, was a nice experience, to say the least....
Looking forward to Newcastle v Everton this morning at 4am. It should be another cracking game. Everton have always found it difficult at St. James' Park, and are coming off a rare defeat (at home no less) to Chelsea; while Newcastle are not going through a particularly good run themselves. Hopefully Everton can use this game as a springboard for another long, unbeaten run to propel them up the league.
