First-Hand Classic

I just love the song 'You And I' by Secondhand Serenade. There are two versions of this song, the one with him going solo and another with him dueting with Cady Groves, a young, cherubic singer with a youthful voice to complement his more soulful expression. I prefer the latter.

I've got no less than 24 Secondhand Serenade songs in my iPod, that's how much I like the guy's songs. Powerfully catchy, romantic and sizzling with originality, I think he is a sentimental genius and his resonating voice soars with sincerity. But my favourite of the lot would be 'You And I'; a superbly melodic number, deeply romantic with a near-unbelievable chorus to boot. If I'm sounding all lovey-dovey and emo about this, that's because that's exactly what Secondhand Serenade is all about. This guy oozes sentimentality and charm. A pop legend in my eyes.

"I know I am not alone, I am not the only one who is broken
And I know, I'll never let you go
I could watch the world pass by, just as long as it's You And I
You And I"
