The Graveyard Shift

Second day of the trip, and more meeting of relatives and more good food! We started early today, woke up at 5:30am to leave the house at 6am and go to Clarins's Mom's relatives' cemeteries to visit. It was a nice walk to the cemetery, uphill affair but nothing too tiring. It also helped that starting early meant the heat was not so fearsome.

After the cemetery visit, we went to a nearby hawker centre to have the 'gon lo min' which was fantastic, with the yong tau foo and stuff. It was a long queue which kept us waiting for over half an hour, but it was worth it as you really can't get such stuff in Singapore.

I also experienced sitting on the rear open-top of one of the relative's four-wheeler with Alexander and a few of Clarins's younger nieces/nephews, in which I had three options: 1) Standing, which with my height would not be the smartest thing to do as I could potentially be thrown off the vehicle; 2) Squatting down, which was theoretically alright but damn tiring over a sustained period; 3) Sitting down, which was great except that I basically got my backside badly burnt by the bloody heat!

At night, we continued meeting more relatives at the uncle's place, where we also managed to catch some of Liverpool's 2-1 comeback win at Aston Villa.
