So here it is: the most 'inevitable' sequel of all-time - Frozen 2. After the unparalleled, worldwide success of the original, it had to be coming hadn't it? God knows how it took 6 years for it to materialise. Here's a guaranteed money-spinner if ever there was one. After all, the original had to be one of the biggest shows ever. With a solid plot good for both kids and adults; engaging characters and a spell-binding soundtrack, the whole world knew about the show. I remember the first hint when a colleague posted on Facebook that this was a show worth watching out for; it did hit me that here was a cartoon; but possibly with such an engaging, touching, morally-conscious storyline that people were attracted. It became a cultural phenomenon; bigger even than The Lion King back in 1994; and that was a behemoth by itself. And then the song to top it all off; 'Let It Go' by Demi Lovato... a song so good even John Travolta could make a joke out of it. A song that re-defined the term 'ubiquitous' - so catchy and endearing that everyone; everywhere knew and loved it. A Perfect Storm.
I haven't even seen the movie lol. I've got the Blu-Ray. It's in the cupboard And I'm gonna watch it lol. I'm also gonna watch the sequel. And I'm also gonna check out the entire soundtrack; of which I've heard there are other gems inside; such as the brilliantly-titled 'For The First Time In Forever'.
