To be honest, the LA Clippers did show some signs of fatigue & rustiness in their previous loss to the Utah Jazz. Without Kawhi Leonard and hobbled by a foul-prone Montrezl Harrell; they looked a tad jaded as the Jazz swarmed them with stifling defense and a red-hot offense.
Well in this game against another Western Conference powerhouse; the unbeaten San Antonio Spurs; Kawhi was back and the Clippers attacked this game with a visibly-new-found energy and vigour. In a tight, rugged game with suffocating defense and low-scoring; it was Kawhi Leonard who carried the team on his back and ultimately made it his; with a Terminator-like grip on the game, some outstanding offence and patented brilliant defense.
DeMar DeRozan was firing on all cylinders for the Spurs; but with their other superstar LaMarcus Aldridge hampered by some stellar defending from the Clippers big men; it was too much to overcome the vibrant Clippers at a raucous Staples Center.
