Clippers Cast Spell Over Wizards

"Let me tell you a story to sum it all up..." (cue Michael Jordan's dunk over Mark Eaton lol) In the span of about three minutes, Kawhi Leonard slipped to the floor; and while on the floor made a great pass to his corner team-mate for the open three. His team-mate missed the three; but while everybody thought Kawhi was struggling on the floor and taking a nap; he actually got up; took the rebound; and smoothly hit the mid-range shot like it was nothing. He followed that up with a monstrous jam over two Wizards defenders; a poster-type one-handed slam that set the stadium alight - in a definitive show of strength and athleticism. We are talking near-Jordan-esque qualities here my friends... I never thought I'd say that... but we're witnessing something really special here.

And the Clippers were indeed special tonight. Disappointed by their 107-97 loss to the San Antonio Spurs just days earlier; you could see the determination in the Clippers from start to finish; as they made sure they took care of business against the Wizards on their home floor.

They racked up a near-franchise record 150 points; with Leonard backed up by stellar offense from Paul George, Lou Williams and Montrezl Harrell. Perhaps even more importantly, they were magnificent on defense; rotating sharply and closing down anything that moved... locking the Wizards down from their usual high-octane offense. Credit though must be given to both Bradley Beal and Rui Hachimura; who played valiantly and came up with big numbers in a losing effort.
