Without their two main point guards in Patrick Beverley and Lou Williams; the Los Angeles Clippers stayed right on point with another satisfying road win; this time over the young & hungry Minnesota Timberwolves.
You could sense the two superstars Kawhi Leonard & Paul George were determined to step up to fill in for their absence; and man did they do so. Both players played out of their mind; showing no mercy as they torched the Timberwolves with 42 and 46 points respectively.
After leading by 27 in the third quarter; it looked like the Clippers were going to stroll to an easy road win. However, a series of careless turnovers in the fourth quarter and some 2-3 zone defence from the home team managed to turn the tide somewhat; leading to a somewhat nervy ending with the T-Wolves cutting the Clippers lead down to four.
But some championship-calibre composure from the visitors paid off in the end; with Montrezl Harrell and Leonard coming up with key rebounds down the stretch to seal a big win for the visitors.
