With its flamboyant action; fast & frenetic plot and superb acting of stars Andy Lau & Louis Koo; 'The White Storm 2: Drug Lords' is certainly one of the stand-out Chinese movies you will ever see. Starting off breathlessly with both leads in a triad gang; the plot effortlessly dives into a contrasting storyline of Lau as a billionaire financial whiz-kid; and Koo as the king of drug lords.
Before long; their paths would cross again; as Lau turns his wrath on the entire drug trade after losing his estranged son; and Koo plans his ascent in the drug trade whilst seeking revenge on Lau. The exhilarating closing sequence; emotional scenes and twist at the end all serve to make this a very fine movie indeed.
