'The Rock' Dwayne Johnson has been rated the highest-earning actor for the second straight year. That's quite impressive for the former WWE superstar; beating the likes of big names Tom Cruise; Brad Pitt; Leonardo DiCaprio and Ben Affleck.
I still remember 'The Rock' when he burst onto the scene in the WWE; taking on all comers and you kind of knew he would be a big star back then; with his looks; charisma and wrestling ability. He was so good that he had two finishing manoeuvres - 'Rock Bottom' and 'The People's Elbow'; and was certainly one of 'the most electrifying wrestlers' around with his speed and energy.
But I frankly didn't see him as such a big movie star. I guess when the likes of John Cena came into movies then you could sense a good route for WWE wrestlers into the scene; and now of course you have Batista as well. But with his rather unique look and flair for acting; he has now become a real force in movies; such as the 'Fast & Furious' juggernaut; 'Jumanji' and even 'Skyscraper'. One advantage he has is he can play both action and comedy; and his physique is of course another big selling point.
