Dominic Calvert-Lewin; the man of the moment and surely not too far from a first England call-up; notched his 5th goal in three games of a stellar season so far; finishing off a climactic Everton move from Seamus Coleman's pull-back on the right.
Palace equalised when reformed centre-back Cheikhou Kouyate headed home from Andros Townsend's corner; after some rather slack marking from the Everton defence. The visitors however; were not to be denied and went back in front from a Richarlison penalty after Joel Ward was adjudged to have handled Lucas Digne's knock-down header.
For the second half; Everton continued to show their new-found resiliency and inspiration; controlling the game well and not allowing Palace to create many opportunities to get back into the game. They continue their perfect start to the season; and now look forward to welcoming former manager David Moyes' West Ham United in next week's Carabao Cup fourth round.
