Flying Without Wings

Interesting to know that SIA's 'meals-on-ground' initiative has received a rather roaring reception and was sold out pretty fast; whether in the Economy; Business or First Class areas. Didn't know so many people liked airline food lol...

But I guess it is a good way for people who have never flown before to experience a relatively cheaper way of experiencing the airline and its comforts; and its food of course. I think some people also like the experience of taking a plane; whether it's really flying in the air or still on the ground I guess...

So much so that some people are now advocating for SIA to do 'flights to nowhere'. That would be another kettle of fish surely; as while countries like Australia are selling out those flights due to their scenic routes; in Singapore there's probably nowhere you really want to see and it's probably too small to fly around anyways... also; the 'green' campaigners have suggested it is not 'prudent' to fly around to nowhere with the gas emissions involved...
