Game On

Good news on the local sporting scene that the Singapore Premier League (SPL) will be re-starting this Saturday; after what seems an eternity out of action. Hopefully this proves a harbinger of the continued opening up of the local sporting scene; in line with (hopefully) the coming announcement of Phase 3 in Singapore.

Just like many of the other major leagues in the world; there will be changes such as five substitutions instead of three & water breaks in-between each half. The format of the SPL will also be changed from three matches per team to only two; and the Singapore Cup has also been scraped. Perhaps the only question mark now is the participation of reigning champions Brunei DPMM; where Brunei is currently facing different coronavirus restrictions as compared to Singapore.
