It's Hammer Time

Everton continued their imperious start to the season with a 4-1 hammering of the Hammers; West Ham United; in the Carabao Cup 4th Round match at Goodison Park. It is the sixth straight win of a stellar season for the Blues; who are looking increasingly sharp and confident with every passing match.

Perhaps the hottest striker in the world at the moment; Dominic Calvert-Lewin notched yet another hat-trick to take his tally to 8 goals in 5 matches; with his confidence well-apparent at the moment such that almost anything he touches turns to goal.

West Ham did equalize at the start of the second half through a fine finish from Robert Snodgrass; but such is the cohesion and chemistry of the Everton boys these days; they were always in control and after Richarlison's shot took an ill-fated deflection off Declan Rice to put the Toffees back in front; the outcome of this tie was never really in doubt.
