Great Scot They're There

Scotland erased the memory of 10 failed qualifications; finally reaching the promised land of Euro 2020 after a dramatic penalty shoot-out win over Serbia in Belgrade. This will be their first finals appearance ever since the 1998 World Cup back in France.

The Scots had led through Ryan Christie's strike early in the second half; before Real Madrid's Luka Jovic dramatically headed Serbia level right at the death to force the extra-time & penalties.

And it was goalkeeper David Marshall who came up trumps; saving the final spot-kick from Aleksandar Mitrovic of Fulham to spark scenes of wild mayhem & jubilation.

With players such as Liverpool left-back Andrew Robertson; Aston Villa star John McGinn & Manchester United's Scott McTominay in their ranks; Steve Clarke's men can now look forward to an intriguing group clash with Auld Rivals England; Croatia & Czech Republic at Euro 2020 next June.
