Hey Jude

Jude Bellingham is the latest England hotshot to hit the global reckoning. He is poised to make his debut for the Three Lions in today's much-anticipated friendly against Republic of Ireland. If chosen by manager Gareth Southgate; he will be the third-youngest player in history to play for England; behind only Arsenal starlet Theo Walcott & Manchester United legend Wayne Rooney.

I admire his decision to turn down Manchester United & opt instead for Bundesliga powerhouses Borussia Dortmund; as the latter is famous for developing young players. At Man United; he may not be guaranteed a place in the starting line-up; and his performance could well be stunted. At Dortmund; however; is a renowned place for nurturing and developing young players; as can bee seen in the likes of fellow England youngster Jadon Sancho and the explosive Erling Haaland.

With budding youngsters such as Bellingham; Sancho & Bukayo Saka joining other young stars such as Jack Grealish, James Maddison & Phil Foden; the future indeed looks bright for the England team...
