No Way Jose

The latest sensational news of the season sees Jose Mourinho; previously anointed the greatest manager in the world; sacked by Tottenham Hotspur in a stunning move that has shocked purists & pundits like. Truth is; it is not the most surprising decision in the world for me; and the way Tottenham have been playing recently; you could say it has been coming. The only shock for me is the timing of it; coming just before a mouth-watering Carabao Cup final against Manchester City in just about a week's time.

From miraculously winning the Champions League with Porto in 2004; till that stunning Special One announcement and back-to-back Premier League titles with Chelsea; it looked like Mourinho could do no wrong. His stunning sense of conviction; overbearing charisma; and man-management tactics seemed to work a treat; and he achieved another miraculous achievement in 2010 by winning the treble with Inter; further cementing his status as the greatest manager of all time.

But since coming to Manchester United; I think his star has been falling. Old Trafford was what I thought the perfect place for him to be; but it didn't quite go according to plan. With his star power waning; it looked like no one really wanted him that much; until Tottenham came along. But you can see when the players don't feel like playing anymore; that is truly the death knell for the manager. Same thing happened at Chelsea; then at Man Utd; and now at Tottenham.
