Whether it is the solid three-man backline of Pontus Jansson; Cristoffer Ajer & Ethan Pinnock; or the industry of central midfielder Christian Norgaard or the energetic left-back Rico Henry; or the telepathic front-two of Ivan Toney & Bryan Mbeumo; Brentford have just been brilliant to watch all season.
The danger signs were already there for West Ham; before Mbeumo swept home the rebound after Fabianski could only palm out Sergi Canos' effort. The Hammers; to their credit; came out for the second half like men possessed; riding wave upon wave of attacks on the Brentford goal. The pressure finally paid off when winger Jarrod Bowen; having a good afternoon himself; swept home at the near post after a clearance from a set-piece.
There was drama right at the end though; as substitute Yoann Wisse pounced to rifle home a sweet volley to send the travelling Brentford fans into delirium. The fairy-tale continues for this unheralded side; with Frank's men now up to 7th in the Premier League.
