Warriors Stay Golden

Let's face it: the Los Angeles Clippers have yet to meet a really big team this season. Yes they have met the surprising Memphis Grizzlies. The streaking Chicago Bulls. But not yet a huge team. Well this time they gor a really huge team. The Golden State Warriors; who have shocked all & sundry with shades of dynasties past. With a new group comprising Jordan Poole; Andrew Wiggins & Otto Porter Junior; and with Klay Thompson still yet to return; the Warriors have demonstrated a magnificent team ethic and serious chemistry to soar to a 17-2 record; one of the best in the NBA.

And with these two teams amongst the best defensively in the league; what we saw was a classic Playoff-style defensive juggernaut; with both teams cancelling each other out amid low-trench warfare. There was clear rivalry between these two teams; who may well have to go through each other to achieve the ultimate championship goal.

First off; we saw the deadly eyes of Stephen Curry; as he started lighting it up from downtown towards the end of the first half. In the second half; there was to be more fireworks. First; reserve center Isaiah Hartenstein lit the fuse with a big-time rejection and lockdown stare on Poole; which promptly earned a technical lol. But the fun had just started as Poole and Paul George then engaged in their own Wild West Shootout; with the former just about edging it to give his team a controlling position.

Draymond Green was not surprisingly not far away; complaining vehemently to the referee "he hit my head!!!" on a Paul George challenge; before Curry himself was the angriest I've ever seen with a technical-induced charge on a non-foul by Terance Mann. The Warriors star was to exact the sweetest form of revenge though; as he went 'in the zone' by lighting it up from downtown to secure the Warriors the victory.
