After the Saudi takeover of Newcastle; fans have been waiting for their big signings to roll in. And while it hasn't quite happened yet; their 63 million pound signing of Alexander Isak from Real Sociedad is their first statement signing; their 'Hernan Crespo' if you will.
The team are certainly making big moves on the pitch; as they extended their unbeaten start to the season to four games; after Allan Saint-Maximin's phenomenal volley rescued a 1-1 draw at Wolverhampton Wanderers.
The club are certainly heading in the right direction; and while Chris Wood; Dan Burn & Matthew Targett may not be the most bona fide of signings; they have certainly added grit & know-how to the Magpies setup. Other signings such as Nick Pope; Sven Botman; Kieran Trippier and Bruno Guimaraes are of a slightly higher level; and they have already shown what improvement they can contribute to Eddie Howe's side.
