Murray Earns His Spurs

OK the Los Angeles Clippers were coming off a heart-breaking loss to the lowly Oklahoma City Thunder just nights before; and after a preceding defeat to the tough league-leading Utah Jazz; they would be thinking an easier game was on the cards at home against the struggling San Antonio Spurs. Well they were wrong.

You see; the Spurs' record right now is a bit of a misnomer. Yes they are 11-18 overall; but recently had been going on a strong run. And they have won almost as many games away as at home. Dejounte Murray; undoubtedly their star man these days; put up another standout performance; recording his sixth triple-double of the season to power his team to a stunning win on the road.

And when the dust had settled; the Spurs had an almost-unbelievable 30-point lead with about 10 minutes remaining; and the seismic moment when both teams emptied their bench came shortly after. For the Clippers; it looks like the return of both Paul George & Serge Ibaka was not enough. To put it simply; they were simply out-fought by the Spurs in this one; who were hungrier for the rebounds and the effort plays.
