In Another League

It is every club's dream to be in the UEFA Champions League; and nothing stirs up the senses quite like a Playoff Round; 2nd Leg match between two keenly interested parties; PSV Eindhoven & Glasgow Rangers. The match was served on a knife-edge; after the first leg ended in a tantalising 2-2 draw in Glasgow.

Rangers actually started the match better; but after the first 10 minutes or so; you could see the Dutch giants starting to up their game and slowly start to dominate the match. They duly took the lead midway through the match after good work from Noa Lang saw Joey Veerman tee the ball up for Ismael Saibari to head home.

In the second half; there was more good work from the home side; as Teze this time crossed for Luuk de Jong to turn provider for Saibari's second goal. Rangers thought they had a route back when substitute Sam Lammers assisted the best-scoring right-back in the world James Tavernier to score at the back-post but unfortunately for Rangers; PSV hit back to score almost immediately through One Air Force de Jong from a free-kick.

Veerman; who had spurned several shots earlier in the night; proceeded to score a fourth from another Teze pass; before Connor Goldson scored a rather bizarre fifth own goal to add self-inflicted insult to injury.
